INTERVIEW: 'Snarlin' Arlen' Specter tells us what's wrong with Washington

Arlen Specter has had an unusual political career. The former Pennsylvania senator is now a Democrat, but he was a Republican from 1965 until he switched sides in 2009. He's known for being a moderate who was always able to stay in the political center, no matter which party he was in.

He just released a memoir called “Life Among the Cannibals: A Political Career, a Tea Party Uprising, and the End of Governing As We Know It.”

FM News’ Mary Ellen Geist interviews Specter about what’s wrong with Washington, the Supreme Court’s health care review and how he got the nickname “Snarlin’ Arlen.”
